'QC Line' has been
awarded the Certificate : ISO : 9001-2000
30 April 2005
|
QC Line has
received the ISO : 9001-2000 certificate
(for Quality Management System) from GLC (Germanischer
Lloyd Certification Gmbh, 20459 Hamburg)
on last Saturday, the 30th April 2005.
GL handed over this certificate to QC Line
in a dinner party held in a reputed
restaurant in Chittagong where the most of
the shipping personnel were present . Mr.
S. K. Ghosh, Executive Director of QC
Line, received the certificate from the
Chairman of the Social Investment Bank
Ltd. Mr. Shah Alam. |

In this
occasion Mr. Choudhury Zaman, Country
Manager of GL, announced that QC Line is
the first shipping company which has been
awarded this certificate from
internationally reputed certification body
like GLC. |

Persian Gulf Express (PGX)
Service to Iran Begins Tomorrow
June 29, 2004
A new container shipping service between Dubai
and Iran is due to begin tomorrow. The service
to Bandar Abbas, Iran by Bangladesh-based QC
Container Line Ltd. and its partner CSAV
subsidiary Norasia will leave Jebel Ali terminal
every five days and will include stopovers in
Abu Dhabi and Khorfakkan, improving the lines'
regional coverage.
The link to Iran will be operated by one of QC
Container Line's own ships, the MV QC Pintail,
which has a capacity of 574TEU.

QC Container Line
Inaugurated in Dubai
July 05, 2004
QC Container Line Ltd. has inaugurated its
operation in Dubai with the launch of feeder
service in the lower gulf. Mr. Jamaluddin Quader
Chowdhury, CEO formally declared the inaugural
at the Hotel Fairmont Dubai on 4 July 2004.
Mr. Asif Abbas Chouguley, a known name in this
sector has been appointed as the owners'
representative and M/S U-Freight Middle East,
Dubai, UAE will be the agent of this shipping
conglomerate from the east.
Distinguished guests from the shipping industry
were present on the occasion.

Thanking the Partners
in Progress
December 22, 2004
QC Container Line Ltd. recognised five of their
"Partners in Progress" in the Ball Room of the
Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on 21 December 2004.
Mr. Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin, MP, Honorable
Minister for Aviation and Tourism handed over
the recognition to the recipients. The
recipients are:

Amongst others, Mr. Shadat Hossain,
Chairman, Chittagong Port Authority and
Mr. Per Heisselberg, President of
International Container Shipping
Association spoke on the occasion.
Mr. Jamaluddin Quader Chowdhury, CEO of QC
Container Line Ltd. thanked all their
customers for their support over the
period of time. He also reiterated that
with the support of their partners QC has
crossed the boundaries of Bangladesh and
has been successful in changing the
perception of Bangladeshi enterprises in
the regional shipping hub - Singapore and
Dubai. |

Service of QC Feeders Ltd. Started at Middle
East
and both the service will cover major ports of UAE, Kuwait, Iraq and
Iran.
